I looked on the boxes I have and nothing is mentioned about the muzzle velocity. Does anybody happen to know what they run in a typical ~20"-21" rifle barrel?

Thanks,
Mark

I wondered about that myself.... now that I have a chrony, I think I'll buy another box and try it out. My barrel is 18" though

Do you think you can try to remember to post the results? I have a rifle that absolutely loves DynaPoints. Trouble is, out of 10, I can get 5 or 6 into sub-MOA groups but then get 4 or 5 "fliers". I'm thinking it's because the velocity is wildly inconsistent, but I don't have a chrony to verify this. It'd be great to learn that they're fairly consistent and that I just need to learn to shoot better. I hate the thought of having to switch to a more expensive brand of ammo...

their web site says it has a mv of 1150 not alot of other details

They are not on the website... these are Dyna Point GT not regular dyna points. They may be the same, but it doesn't really say anywhere if they are or not.
I will post results as soon as I have them.

I have a few bricks of the older Whitebox dyna points and they are a regular velocity of 1050 If I recall correctly. Seemed close to subsonic the last time I shot them. FS

I have never seen it for sale in any areas i buy.the only dynapoint ammo i see available around here is the 22wmr crap at wally world.and i have given up buying it as the number of misfires with it are unreasonable.I would think if there were more than one type it would be listed on the web site.I shoot the 333 and expert HV from WW both work well in my 10-22 and bolt guns.

I put some over my chrony last summer.
They averaged 1083 out of a Savage MK II (20" barrel)
The white-box Dynapoints averaged 1105 out of the same rifle.

The average is good info... but more so would be the consistency. If the readings were:
1100
1110
1105
1103
1107
etc....
that would be great. But... if the readings were:
1105
1005
1200
975
1225
etc...
that would suck.

Do you remember how consistent it was?

Through my Browning S/A

Mean 1107 fps
Std Dev 54 fps
Low 1077 fps
High 1131 fps

I also chronographed them through bolt action rifles and I have the data somewhere, the Std Dev is lower. Will look for the data and post it

It was very consistent. Extreme spread was 33 fps, average deviation was 9.
The GT stuff didn't group as well as the older White box Dynapoint.
I have around 10,000 rounds of the White box and 5000 of the GT right now. Wifey shoots the GT, I get the good stuff.

Dynapoint GT, out of my CZ Silhouette:

50 metre groups: 0.68 inches (average over 22 five shot groups)
100 metre groups: 1.49 inches (average over 2 five shot groups)
Average muzzle velocity over 20 rounds: 1123 FPS
Highest muzzle velocity from that 20 rounds: 1156
Lowest muzzle velocity from that 20 rounds: 1058
Standard Deviation calc on velocity: 18.97

Looking through the individual velocity readings, all but 2 of the 20 shots was between 1110 and 1130 -- so yes, pretty consistent.
