E-Bay purchases

Are there any restrictions on making a E Bay scope purchase from the US and crossing the border ?
I have not had any probs in the past , but it's been awhile.

It is illegal under US law for a Canadian to buy a scope in the US and export it out of the US to Canada.

But If you buy it off ebay, make sure to have the seller (shipper) not put it is a rifle scope or US customs will grab it.

When the ATF goes and checks ebay which they do the fella that sold it to you will have his arse pulled into jail.
I know one fella that when they wern't inforcing the law shipped a few to Canada and when they checked his ebay listings and where the scopes were sent to he had 62 charges levelled against him.
Try and get him to send another scope up here!!!!!!!!!

I think I got one or two from him. Too bad, good service and good prices, I kinda miss him.:(
 
Glad I got my Leupolds when I did way back when. Got 2 VX-IIs for the price of their equivalent VX-Is up here. The seller specifically said right on the item page that he had everything in place to ship to Canada. Whether this was true or not, who knows, but he's not shipping to Canada at all anymore...

I really hope we will once again see the day when all this stupid nonsense will come to an end, and FREE TRADE can mean just that. All this nationalistic protectionist bull#### in the name of heightened security is really starting to piss me off.
