Now that the long gun registry is done for most of the country. When completing a sale on the E.E. forum, do you have to initiate the transfer process with the CFC anymore?

No!

There is no transfer other than u handing over the gun, as long as its non restricted.

You may also want to call the CFC to verify that the buyer's PAL is valid. Nothing to do with the gun, just ensure the person who is receiving it is okay.

That was my assumption. Just confirm the buyer has a valid PAL, and complete the transaction. Way much simpler than the old ways. Thanks for the help everybody.

You just have to be reasonably certain the buyer has a valid PAL. No need to call and check unless something makes you suspicious about the buyer...
