E-Lander Magazines (Tavor mag?)

I see the Americans down south are stocking up E-Lander magazines supplied through the Mako group (no P-mags left to buy). They sound like a derivative of the HK all steel "super mags". Anyone have one of these mags? How are they working for you?

I think they may have came in with some of the first Tavors to reach Canadian soil, but it seems all the later batches got shipped with an assortment of whatever the distributor had handy.

canadaammo did bring some in, they were going to be afforable, at around 17-20 a mag but things changed. that was awhile ago.

I have steel mags stamped with IWI on them. Dunno if they're E-lander or not though. Let me see if I have a pic . . .

Ironically the only photo I have of them is in an AR. I found the follower on these was definitely not self leveling, but the body is much nicer than most USGI mags.

Based on what the Mako Group has been suggesting, the followers and some minor features may have been tweeked on the US mags.

How are the mags pinned?

Hmm, nope I either cropped it or covered it with the label. But thats the IWI mag on the left.

Follower and finish are different! It's probably not the same. This is an actual E-lander here:

My IWI mags have the same base plate. Any difference in the two? Mine don't have great followers either, not self levelling.

The new E-Lander mags are definitely anti-tilt.

Spoke with Mako Group/E-Lander at SHOT 2013. They're not distributing to Canada, they're only fulfilling orders to the US at the moment.

Doesn't surprise me. Saw a few posts over the last month that they are running crazy shifts over there to keep up with demand
