E5GEW Halloween shoot, will have 6 stages on 2 ranges (range 1 + 2) @ Guelph Rod & Gun Club
Safety First, Fun second.
We run the gamut from absurd to difficult. Edged Weapons are added to stages for fun.
A unique multi-gun competition. It will incorporate various firearms (whatever is legal and not listed in the OIC or FRT) pistols, shotguns, PCC (pistol calibre carbine), semi-automatic rifles, and bolt action + Straight pull rifles.
(Essentially you will need a Pistol, Shotgun and a Rifle to compete. There are options in the various stages to utilize different firearms, such a semi auto in one stage and a bolt action in another if you so choose.)
Run + Gun Dynamic Shooting mixed in with positional shooting and gun handling skills.

3 Divisions:
- Open: Your pistol has a muzzle brake, Your shotgun has either a muzzle brake, speed loader or has a detachable magazine
- Semi-Auto: BullPup, PCC or any thing else
- Straight Pull / Bolt action: any bolt action or Straight Pull rifle (Maximum calibre for rifle 5.56 or 9mm)
You may use more than 1 rifle in the match, although your Division will be set to whatever is the most advantages.

REQUIRED:
- You must be experienced with using a holster for your pistol.
- You will be required to wear a Mask and social distance when not shooting.
- No Steel Core or Armor Piercing ammo. Simple rule: if it sticks to a magnet, you cannot use it.
- You will be required to bring your own medium sized pumpkin and a Knife for this Shoot
- Please Show your CCFR or CSSA Membership when checking in at the match.

Squadding. Once you have registered and Paid you can squad. Current Squads available are:
Friday 30th Oct @ 1pm - 4.30pm - 2 squads available
Sat 31st Oct @ 9am - 12-30pm - 2 Squads available
If we get full, we will open up 2 x Squads on Sat after lunch, so please waitlist yourself if interested.

If you like 3 Gun, you will love this.

Interesting. We organize similar multi-gun events at our club.

Open: Your pistol has a muzzle brake, Your shotgun has either a muzzle brake, speed loader or is magazine fed.

Did you mean a detachable magazine? Or would a tube magazine also be covered?

HI CV32, Yes we mean a detachable box magazine. BTW, what club are you with? Are your Multi-Gun matches similar in format where you can use 5 guns?

St. John's Rod & Gun Club. Not sure if I ever recall five gun, but we have run similar format matches where there were four guns (bolt rifle, semi rifle, pistol, shotgun) and a fifth "melee" weapon.

Sounds awesome!
I must get out to Newfoundland and get in on a match! I like the melee weapons. Yes we have the same idea. Last match has a water melon prop, and stage 1 you had to start with a Samurai Sword and cut a watermelon in half before grabbing your rifle... was a hoot.

The melee stuff tends to be popular, and variety being the spice of life, it certainly does add another large fun factor to an event.

Shoot, I was hoping to run my Valmet but I guess that's out the door. Don't have a PCC and my AR-15 was banned, guess I'll be using a 22lr bolt action.

You you can use your Rimfire, on some stages it could be an advantage. All platforms have positives and negatives, and when spread over the stages they do somewhat balance out.

If I run a semi auto pistol/shotgun and a bolt action rifle will I be placed in the semi auto division?

Actually you will be in the Bolt action Division.

I know it may seem strange, but we feel that Pistols and Shotguns can be semi auto, but the rifle really dictates what category you are in.
There are only a few things that would put you in open. For instance you can have a red dot on your shotgun, but that dos not put you in open, its Muzzle Breaks and Speed Loaders or Detachable magazines on your shotgun that will mov you to open.
Make sense?
