Received today from TSE:D

VERY impressed with the fit and finish of a hangun that cost $644 CAD with taxes in and shipping included. The WONDER FINISH is great looking too...

Will post back when I get out to the range. I did try out the trigger and it feels alot better than my SP-01 was out of the box. I did find that the main spring felt quite "light" but I allready have a 4 pack of main springs from Wolf so I should be good to go.

Was also pleased it came with 3 mags.:D

Thanx Redleg.

There is only 1 arm/lever for the safety for right handed shooting but the hole goes all the way through. I imagine you can simple take safety arm/lever off of one side and move it to the other?

Also, safety can be applied whether it is cocked or not. My CZ-SP01 can only apply safety if cocked.

Ammo is around $22 for 50, but I plan on reloading so not a concern for me.

Does it have ambi safety? How much would that be? How much is a box of ammo?

I always wanted a 10mm myself and for 1/2 the price of a Kimber might just get one too

was it a special order?

what's the barrel langth? I'm guessing it ways about the same as CZ75?

edit: is the capacity 10 rounds?

The only difference between this and the Tangfolio "L Model" is the barrel is 3/4 shorter and has fixed rear sight versus adjustable sights on the "L".

I will probably upgrade the sights as well as get a match grade 6 inch barrel someday...

Yes $644 to your door. Talk to James or Rich at the TSE. They are bringing them in.

Alot of gun for the money and suppossed to be "overbuilt" according to most guys. It will handle hot loads very well.

You just have to make sure and get adequate springs(factory spring is too light for hotter loads) and polish the feed ramp and they are suppose to function alot better.

I preordered my springs from Wolf so I had them before gun got here $40 bucks for a 4 pack of mainsprings with 4 FREE hammer springs thrown in with the pack.

4.5 inch barrel and 33 ounces(weighs less than my CZ 75-SP01)

Can hold 15+1(such a shame we can't have this) but in Kanada it is 10+1

Forgot to ask what is the grip like compared to your CZ75 SP-01?

btw I'm still waiting for that range report... :p

IT IS raining here and my indoor range is off limits to 10mm:mad:

If rain lets up I will try and get out.

I found the grip to be a little "beefier" and the rubber grips are not as good as on the CZ they seem a little slick. Anyways I allready put some grip tape on them so it should't be an issue. It is still a great feeling pistol just doesn't feel as good to hold as the SP-01.

MINI range report...

Went through 50 rounds of UMC(FMJ) 180's had 3 FTF in first 3 mags near #9 or #10 round...switched from 20lb spring down to 18lb and no more problems with FTF. Accuracy was adequate and recoil was more manageble than I expected but it is a still a BIG step up from the 9mm.

Went through 50 rounds of American Eagle(CAST LEAD) 180 with NO malfunctions or FTF.
Accuracy was once again ok. To be honest the gun will probably shoot better than I am capable but I am still learning. However, I was consistently picking off 6 inch steel gongs at 25 yards(these were lead bullets).

1 bad point...even with heavier springs the ejected brass packs a wallop...and this will definitely save me money as I spend as much time trying to find the brass as I do shooting ...

There is a fix for this but I won't attempt as it involves filing down the ejector claw, if I decide to to this I will get someone knowledgeable to do it.

I plan on doing up some reloads with 200 gr XTP's and Accurate#9....I will post back when I have had time to do it...

.357mag isn't any cheaper... ;)

reloading is the way to go, I load a box of .44mag for the sme price as factory 9mm and that's copper plated (not lead)

XTP's are pricy I used they at first but switched to Frontiers

I guess that depends where you buy at average 'avarage local gun shop' 357mag won't be less than $25...

Reloading is only cheaper if you do not factor in the cost of your labor.
if that's how you think why not pay someone to shoot the ammo for you :p

Word. Up.

I detest reloading.

I just spent the last 2 hours reloading 50 cases...and AA#9 does NOT meter very well in my Uniflow powder measure.

It was not the ideal way to spend 2 hours but I KNOW my reloads will outperform any factory ammo....ESPECIALLY in the 10mm AUTO!!

Factory loads are at best MILD when compared to the performance you can get out of handloaded ammo. This especially holds true in the accuracy and energy of long rifle rounds. Try getting sub MOA groups with factory ammo?....NOT gonna happen.

It takes me a little longer than most people because I am VERY meticoulous as I weigh every single charge, and use the extra step of using LEE factory crimp die.

It takes time but usually the finished product makes up for it...call it personal satisfaction...
