a safety supply store.
when my youngest was just a baby I had to take her in the tractor baling.
I cut down foam earplugs and used a set of peltor muffs...damn near needed duct tape to keep em on her :D

It might be an idea it but also depends on how much u want to spend or how much shooting they might be doing, but maybe a set of custom molded earpieces. Some people at the range said that Costco has a place that makes them there for relatively cheap. also there are some other places that make them in the lower mainland, Custom Protect Ear, Inc. and Oto Hearing Products make them but they will be pricey. My earpiece's are from CPE, were bought by my previous employer and I reckon they were about $150 for these elite pieces. Costco wasnt at all that expensive but I dont know what others types they are offering.

There is another place in langley that my buddy went to, they mainly do hearing protection but he needed a phone earpiece done, Hear Smart Solutions, I think they are about $30-40 for a basic set of earplugs.

Now dont take this a big plug for the hearing protection guys, I just really like my set and I definatly think better of my hearing now that I have them and want to spread the word on them. :)

I took a 5 year old into a Princess Auto and fitted a pair of muffs on their head. It was a one time thing and $7 for the muffs. Hope you live close to one.

BPS has a youth kit / COMBO that comes with clear wrap around eye-wear and RedHead muffs.

The muffs are rated between 26 - 28. Most adult ones in that isle were rated between 28 - 31.

I bought that RedHead kit / combo for $38 (aprox) + hst.

I paired that with good foam inserts from the range...even though the kit instructions say that too much protection can cause accidents...

I chose that set because the glasses fit really, really well.

I think the NRR rating is something like 21 for the kids muffs - I'd definately double up with plugs and muffs.

My kids had a heck of a time keeping foam plugs in properly. I bought youth muffs, but the ones they find most comfortable are the 30 NRR Peltor's. For some reason, the youth muffs made the glasses hurt. There's a good range of adjustment on the adult muffs.

I find the "adult" muffs easier to keep on my 5 year old than foam or rubber earplugs. He currently wears a set of browning muffs/glasses from home hardware when shooting.
