A local estate is going to make two early Enfield available...RIC carbine full wood very good condition $1200 and a "LongTom" early LE with bayonet and mint wood....$1850. This chap was a long time collector and had some very nice Enfieldd,,,approx 20 pieces in total. I did manage to pick up an 1956 Long Branch. Are these prices in line? If any body is interested in these pls PM....I've not the seller and only passing the info one. Ron (Ontario)

Yes I also think very high. RIC carbines are not as valuable or as sought after as the Cavalry models.

- For the Long Lee $1200.00 is the norm and $600.00 to $800.00 for thr RIC.

- Only exception would be an early Lee-Metford MKI and not the more common L.M. Mark II

I agree that both prices seem a fairly high. Problem will be to find one cheaper in the condition of those available if the are in very good condition.

All of them are getting alot harder to find and I guess they probably will get close to their asking price.

Personally I wouldn't pay the asking price.

Appreciate the comments. With collecting it's all about condition and originality. I've seen so much crap at gunshows I'm thrilled I got called on this lot. Was a home guard Ross in the lot with a fiddleback walnut stock....I'm not a Ross guy and I did not ask the price. The case colour on the bolt and the bluing were outstanding.

I would take a good look at the Ross if it is reasonably priced as they are a great gun. If it is original would be a nice gun to own.

I've had a couple PM's on the HG Ross. Called the Gent handling the sale and it sold this evening. From memory there's a 2A1 in 7.62, a POF No4 MK1/2, a 1907 Martini and 2 or 3 Lithgows left. No snipers for those that have asked. All the LB's are gone. I'll contact the guy if you like...I've got no interest in these...just want to make that clear.
