PM me. Let me know what you want for it.2009 model year- just my opinion, and ihave one for sale, new never fired!
I've owned both 2009 Norinco and Poly. Currently I have only the Poly. I'm not sure if this is consistent with all rifles either norc or poly, but the following were my observations between just these two that I owned.
Norc / Poly
Flash Hider welded / Flashider unwelded (same FH quality as Norc)
Oprod guide loose / Op rod guide tight with no movement
Rear sights loose / Rear sights had more affirmative clicks
Op rod misaligned / Op rod centered properly with piston
slight rear lug receiver peening / same
Barrel horribly out of index / Barrel Slightly out of index
Finish - the same
I'm assuming the indexing varies from rifle to rifle irregardless of norc or poly. Considering that norc and poly come from the same factory, I would only take these observations with a grain of sand.
I'm very agreeable with this post. Very good generalizations. Sometimes I think I shoulda (a bunch of us here on CGNutz) coulda flown over to China and helped them with some final assembly QC suggestions. Hey, M14Doctor... wanna take a working vacation? LOL
Mind you many USGI M14's were loose as heck also! Some 12.x owners might chime in here! They are a wealth of knowledge, too!
Cheers,
Barney
If you guys go over there, I sure do hope you put some pics up for us to see.
