i gave a pair of ior 7x40 for the people fighting in ukrain against the invader and the user said he loves it: despite being old they re still good.

Have a pair of 10x50 Russian binoculars from the early 80's. Lenses are Zeiss Jena and very good quality

For the longest time, my go-to backpacking bino's were some Zeiss-Jena 6x30
- IOR also made some nice stuff, some with a built in IR filter.
