Shot with a Remington700 270winchester & 130gr Corelokt varget loads from around 75m.

We wont talk about the Big Chocolate Fallow in which the Fallen tree got in the way and deflected my bullet!! That's Hunting!

Happy outcome for Me an My Son!
Hes first succesfull trophy hunt.

LOL- we cannot go hunting without hes (toy)gun! It was a Win94, but back in my early days I didn't like lever guns... So I took the lever off an is now a Semi auto.... LOL

Good ol times!

How times change though ay!

Thanks fellas, another memorable hunting trip with my Son

Hey Freddy four, check out my last thread when I took the lad backpacking. I used a mobile phone with games and honey sangas to keep him chilled.. This time hes a bit older and has a little more idea of what we are doing.

Hardest part is stopping him from pulling the trigger on the toy gun an making bang sounds whilst we walk through the scrub LOL.
I told him it scares off the animals so to wait until Dad shoots.

Sitting an waiting can be a nuisance, as kids don't like sitting in one spot too long, but if im walking through an trying to spy the deer a hundred or so infront of me it gives me time to be able to tell him to shush an block hes ears ;)

After the hunt The boy generally gets out of the pack for a while an walks along an talks an shoots birds an stuff (toygun) an when hes knocked up I throw him back in.

Cheers guys, Happy days!

Very good, how old was TYB when you first took him out vs this past trip. Mine will be 4 this Sept, might be able to swing it if they wife doesn't freak out.
