One of the best quality collections I have seen.
There is a wide variety of arms/units:
AVS36
K98
G33/40
SVT 38/40
MP40
MG34
Mosin Nagants
SS/Mountain Troops/etc.

Did the SVT 40's that we are buying go through the war? They are Russian refurbs but did the Russians stop using them, refurbish them, and put them in storage in did the Russians continue to use them throughout the war? I know that they didn't like them and stopped making them... but I'm curious if they kept using them.
The upper vent guard on one of mine is worn so bad that it jumps out of the 'fingers' that are meant to hold it in place. Clearly it has seen alot of use.

Its my guess that they where all used during the war at somepoint. The russian needed so much equipment. The SVT was not the favorite rifle for the average conscript but elite troop and sniper loved alot, and the german too:)

I think the SVT's, Mosin Nagants, TT33's and K98's that are on the market were all used during the war. At some point after the war they were completely refurb'd (I have heard dates of 1950's-1980's).

I am sure some rifles probably were not used in combat (reserve issue or some probably never left the shipping crates).

I heard SVT's were produced till 1945 but I have only seen 1940-1943 dated recievers in Canada, I don't know why?

If someone has an SVT 1944 or 1945, please chime in.

If you go to the link to the main page on that site there are several other photo's. Many of his links were closed down as people were using the images without permission.

I will receive my SVT-40 with AVT Naval stock Tula 1944 next monday or tuesday.
And Thanks agentcq for this link. Several informations which are useful for my knowledge about SVT-40:)

Dude, I think you might have got a non-refurb. Both of mine have the date stamped out with the refurb mark (box with a diagnal line through it). Plus, the bolts were dyed plumb color in the refurb process. Plus, it's a 1944 when one of mine is a '40 and one a '41 (they've both seen alot of use, pitted barrels and worn parts).

OR... it couldve just been refurbed by a different crew. I claim to be an expert on alot of things in life... but not this.

Whats the going price on a SVT 38 in decent shape (cleaning rod included) There's one at Watson Sports in Elmvale Ont (705) 322-0881. He's asking $2400 for it.First time I'v ever seen one. Mag non matching....no idea on the bolt or markings and appears unrefinished....but don't hold me to it.

SVT 38 are very scarce in canada, i want one but i wouldn't pay $2400 for. $1200-$1400 would be a fair price in my opinion:)

A beautiful SVt-40! I think it is re-furbed though, judging by the 6 slotted muzzle brake. Later made SVT muzzle brakes had the larger porting.
