Hi - I thought I had a case of Chinese surplus but was wrong. Bought this at P&D in Edmonton awhile back - 1320 rounds packed in 20 round boxes. Head stamp is 22 over 69.The stripper clips are mine and not part of the purchase. Anybody know?

I have the same box and thought the same thing. Read the sticker, I think it says Bulgaria. I found it to be just as good if not better than any other surplus

Romanian 7.62x39, was quite and still is a common surplus x39 in Canada

It's nice looking ammo, been sitting on a crate for years, never compared it to Czech or anything like that yet

Yep, that Rom Red Stripe is very accurate, too. I had a few hundred ends but most is gone, just saving a few strippers full. There is a sticky of an ammo test that showed Rom & Russ as the most accurate older milsurp, shot thru a 'test barrel'. The CZ is also good, but not quite as good as Rom. CanTire in The sold lots of the CZ back in the mid-teens but all gone now.

Now I just saw Marstar has Russ cases for about $450 + tx. But I bought 2cases of Chinese last Fall for the same price!
