Eating too much Semi auto gas?

I have noticed that whenever I take my Mossberg 151M (a) .22 Semi auto out to the range I come back coughing a lung out.

It is a well ventilated outdoor range, but for some reason my rimfire seems to kick out allot of crap in my direction. And the faster I pull the trigger the worse it is.

Anyone else have this problem? :?: :?:

Try to practice fire dicipline and hold your breath. Back off take a breath and giver' again...

The first few times I dumped a few 50rd mags as fast as I could in a row.

Try better ammo. I have found some of the junkier crap out there is unpleasant to inhale. Try a few other brands. I found CCI and Lapua to be relatively non-offensive.

Yes CCI jacketed ammo is pretty pleasant for air quality, and overall shooting, But any Federal .22 is hard for me to find these days. The worst I used yesterday was Winchester wildcats, and "X-perts"...OMG! Blah! :shock:

I guess I'll have to hold out for better ammo and slow my twitchy trigger finger down. :mrgreen:

My 490 win does send crap in my direction, especially more so since I have a left handed habit. Sometimes I get a small piece of brass as well.
Good reason alone for shooting glasses......... :shock:
