i can see nothing wrong with them ......

but you might have file the mating surfaces down a tiny bit , then with the rings mounted on the rifle , make sure they are square to the barrel , then lap them so they are square to the scope tube .

Most stuff on ebay that is not identify is made from: UTG/Leapers/Nstar... and a few other that are China companies. The price tells everything.

P.S. The one you are looking for are actually from UTG after a quick search.

I would suggest to look at Burris rings if you want to buy on ebay. Add 20-30$ but you will get something way better and still a lot cheaper then what you could pay for them in store.

I would stay away from aluminum rings if possible. They're much softer than steel so a bump or two against the scope may mean you'll have to re-zero. Also not recommended for a cartridge with a lot of kick to it.

I went down that path a few times, but the old saying always holds true - you get what you pay for. I've had to buy parts twice on numerous occasions. The cheap stuff will always be the cheap stuff.

Grab a set of Burris steel mounts and you'll be good forever.

Thanks for the advice guys. I didn't realize these were chinese made but see now that's where UTG comes from. Found a pile of reviews on amazon regarding them.. consensus was:
1. Better than some rings
2. Screws come loose with magnum calibres
3. Blue locktite is your friend

Thanks for pointing me toward the Burris options Cpt Flan & mhowarth, I think I'll go with steel and sleep better at night knowing my scope hasn't budged.
