ebay scopes

Was wondering if anyone has ever purchased a scope from ebay where the scope originated in the US. It seems that all of them on there are located in th US. If anyone ever has , my question is whether or not there was any problems encountered getting it through customs. Also was there any additional charges to pay like GST or duty?? Any info would be great. Thanks.
 
The problem is getting the scope out of the US legally, not getting it into Canada.

If you import most anything, taxes are collected.

I have bought 3 scopes off ebay that originated in the USA. One was shipped labeled "gift value $25" no problem. The other 2 were sent marked optics with the true value marked and I was charged duty but no problem getting them.
 
I'm not getting into this again,see the sticky at the top of the optics section,about importing scopes from the States.All will be explained. Mur
