Eberlestock Packs

Sako,
I have been hunting sheep since the start of the season with mine. Fantastic fit and pack. I havent quite beaten the hell out of it yet but certainly put it through the paces, no tears, rips, bad zippers etc. Also quite comfortabel hauling out the non trophy sheep I took.

Have any questions or want to have a look at it.

I have an X-1

it is one of the best hunting equipment purchases I have ever made. it packs my 12lb target rifle around EASY. slide in my 7lb .308 = Mmmmmmmmm

I have the J107 and its by far the most comfortable pack I have ever owned and the gun scabbard is very cool. I don't actually use it for my gun though. Right now I am hunting spots that I need a spotter so I have it in the scabbard with the tripod and I can get it set up in a flash...Very slick set up IMO...

They are super well made packs with some very innovative ideas. Some guys don't like the rifle carrier because it makes sitting with the pack on, nearly impossible and the rifle often rubs on the slope behind you while going down steep hills. Last time I looked, the J107 was the largest pack and it's just not big enough for me for multi-day hunts but for a daypack it looks pretty solid. I do know some guys that use them for backpacking, however.

I have the J104 and the X1-A1.
Originally I purchased the J104 as a day use pack but found it too large so I then got the X1 and it is more suitable for my use than the J104.

I think they are now availabe thru SIR or one of the major outfits. Purchased both of mine thru Ebay, Trophy Outfitter, good to deal with.

Don't use the J104 so if anyone is interested in a lightly used J104 drop me a line....

I have a J107, have had it a couple years, I've found mine great so far. Have done quite a bit of hunting with it on my back, and have hauled a few animals off of mountains with it. It's always been comfortable and I would recommend one.

I have the J104 and the X1.

I use the X1 for university (for the time being), and the J104 for everything else.

I had 80-90 lbs in the J104 and walked for 2-3 miles, through swamp, gullys, briars, brambles and bushes where a rabbit wouldn't go. I felt fine and I'm not a big guy(I wrestle at 54 kgs, do the math).

I've never loaded the X1 up a with a whole lot, but it seems like it will handle the weight as well as the J104.

They both feel like they will last a long time, and for some hunting having your hands free is a real asset.

I also strapped my climbing tree stand to the J104, it was FAR better than carrying the tree stand on my back.

If you need a huge pack you can get the J104/107 with a zip in duffle bag, it gives you a crazy amount of space to haul your crap around.

Overall I am very pleased with Eberlestocks.
