I just paid over $70 for a box of 100 Hornady .323 195gr SP bullets (#3236). The cost to feed my k98 is really getting painfully high.

Does anyone know a more economical alternative in the 195-200gr range that has both SP and FMJ offering? I needed this weight range to duplicate the milspec 198gr load. This lines up the bdc turrent on the ZF39 scope to a certain degree. I also needed SP bullets because I do plan on hunting with the K98.

Speer Hotcore 200gr are fairly cheap if you can find them.

Tradex has those listed as well, but out of stock. One could always email them and ask if they know when they're getting more in though. I've done that before with Tradex with good results.

I've used the 195gr & ^ for 8mm. I actually prefer the 170gr bullets for this cartridge. Although the white tail I shot a few years ago with a Horn 195gr dropped like he'd been poleaxed.
