Just wondering if anyone have used the Hornady E-CX on game, especially in some slower velocity rounds like 308, 8x57, 9.3x62 etc and what were the results?

I think that a 250gr ECX would make sense for the 9.3x62. I don't think the mid-velocity cartridges don't have enough jam to perform properly with monometal bullets in traditional weights. It would appear that Hornady had that in mind with this line as it is fairly limited in scope in both weight and caliber. Interestingly, they say that the bullet is for export only, but when I checked their online retail locator and the only places that showed up were in Montana (I searched Calgary with a radius of 250 miles). It will be interesting to hear if anyone has found them up here.

I wish they have remained with the 180gr spitzer shape. The Gmx 180gr 8mm worked fine when I used them a few years ago.

Out of the 22 inch barrel they came out at 2700+ fps. Had a B.C. of 460.

The new ecx is pretty stubby with a BC of .257. If I used them I wouldn't take a shot past 250ish with them.
