Man the selection is getting crazy at Wanstalls. Les Baer is pimp of the pimp too. I don't know much about Ed Brown.... Nonethless the quality of these types of 1911's are high up there and people in the States swear by them.

Ed Brown pistols are regarded by many as the ultimate service pistol. If you want a nice, classic and reliable pistol that you'd bet your life on, this is it.
If you want a pimp gun or a race gun, you have plenty of other choices, sometimes more expensive.

Anyhow, mine will never be for sale. Here it is: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=500250

A fine 1911 like Ed Brown builds is really something to appreciate. The wood and steel made in such a masterpiece has an appeal that can't be made of polymer.

I wanted a Kobra Carry before my recent purchase but wasn't sure about where to get one... and then this one showed up.

I've been researching for the last few weeks whether I'd like the snakeskin and whether I'd rather have a KC with the Gen III coating.
