###ed up SKS bullpup stocks

Not legal. Prohibited.

Bullpup designs are only legal if they are intrinsic to the design. Meaning, if the SKS receiver was bullpup, it would be fine. This is seen in other firearms like the Tavor.

A stock that converts an otherwise non-bullpup into a bullpup is illegal.

Go figure.

The great minds that govern us. :p

Yeah I wish.
I contacted him b4 I did some research and apparently he does ship to Canada.
BUT they are a prohibited device PERIOD. No bullpups allowed unless it is originally the design of the firearm and essential to opperation. I'm sure someone will have they exact info from the act.

Makes no sense if you think about it.

Sure, they'll argue that the only reason someone would want a bullpup stock is for better maneuvrability and killing babies, so therefore no one should be able to convert their rifle into a bullpup.

BUT! we can buy newly manufactured bullpups.

It's along the same lines as short barreled shotguns. They'll argue that cutting down a barrel shorter than 18" is something only a bank robber would want to do, and therefore it's illegal.

BUT! we can buy barrels that were originally manufactured shorter than 18".

Go figure.

Opinions everywhere.....

Well mine is this.... I'm a fan of bulpups, the ergonomics are great etc, etc.

Maybe some day I will own a Tavor, but until then, it would be nice to by a $200.00 ish rifle and a $400.00 worth of parts and have a gun like this. To bad our gov, thinks that thats a bad idea.

Gord.

Anybody know if these crazy things can be found in the Great White North yet? Or are they even legal?
