Shape of the butt is all wrong.

Is it even laminated? I've seen wood stocks with grain similar to that.

My first thought was it was Home made....but looking at the butt it looks like it has a German contour to it. The hand guards are slender and not bulky like the originals. It still has the rear volley sight but no front one.

Hummm is this a Lithuanian or German restock?

How prevalent are home-made laminated stocks? How much pressure does it take to properly glue the layers together?

As noted above there are example of Baltic state restocking of P-14 mentioned in collector's publications, but I have seen photos of these anywhere. Try Tuco on Gunboard he has contact with historians and museums curators in the Baltics.
