A heads up to let everybody know about a shoot we are organizing at the Genesee Range for Sunday Aug 29, 2010.

It looks like:
$10 admission for CHAS members with a valid range membership card, $15 for non-members.

11:30am-12:00 pm registration

small BBQ to follow

Please post in this thread or PM me if you plan to attend.

We are planning to focus on military service and sniper rifles with a date cut off at 1955; this is intended to put the old girls to work on an (almost) even playing field. Still in the organizational stages; we are putting together a course of fire

We want to bring the Lee Metfords/Enfields, P14/17s, STVs, G43s, Moisins, Mausers, Springfields & Garands ect. out the the closets they've been hiding in without having to compete against the Remington 700s.

So 2 classes:

Pre-1955 service rifle in it's standard cartridge, or;

Pre-1955 sniping rifle with @2.5-4x fixed magnification scope.

I am hoping to be able to get work done on the farm early enough to make it on Sunday... :redface:

If so, will bring the toys and possibly another shooter.

Also wondering if I can get a membership for the Genesee Range for 2010? I haven't had time to make it to the CHAS meetings on Tuesday night at Phoenix or any of the other membership venues...

Or should I just ditch work early next Tuesday and git er done? :confused:

Sorry to hijack the thread.:)
