I know this is a long shot, but I'm looking to diversify my gopher spots around Edmonton. I only have one good spot, and it's getting pretty developed with residential, so I could see the owner saying no this year.

I'm looking for any private land contacts within an hour of Edmonton, who would let me shoot gophers, or other varmints, on their property. I am looking for two, or three good spots for future shooting. Shoot me a PM if you have any information. I will provide a free $20 Tim Horton's Card to any information that leads to a spot I can use. Shoot me a PM if you have any information. Check my CGN History if you have any concerns. Thanks.

I overheard today that TH pre-bakes all their dounuts in Ontario (bakers their are a union), ships them out and the outlets just do a finish baking!!! RUMORS ???

Anyhow, I would think some land owners would take you up on it, just be careful, you are "technically" paying for hunting access.

I don't believe pest eradication falls under hunting regs per se but I could be incorrect.

ie: no hunting permit req'd in AB

Something I'm looking to get into as well. Recently moved to the area, so everything here is new to me. I didn't think there was much of a gopher problem til you headed closer to southern Alberta.

Drive down hwy 14 with a landowner map. Viking thru Wainwright are maggoty with`m.

If you can't find a gofer to shoot near Viking though to Wainwright you are to blind to shoot...

I used to shoot one toss it on the highway on a busy hot day and sit there with a case of beer every gofer that gets hit, you chug a beer if you are not done your beer before the next one you have to drink two before the next one gets hit...
