Getting a Norc M305 and would like to have the headspace checked, as well as the bolt fit and other issues. Any recommendations for the Edmonton area?

My son picked up a shorty. It was well within spec for NATO - but marginal for the 308 NOGO.

It's not going to be a huge deal if you are not reloading. Load 'em up and shoot away. If planning to reload, then have to decide either to neck-resize. I full length resize by choice, so that was one of the reasons I opted to change out the bolt. One thing I discovered was that I also needed to change out springs and the op-rod in my case, as the specs between the USGI and the Norc were slightly not the same. Lapping in the new bolt was also a bit of a pain as well.

You always full size resize for semi's or you will have chambering and or extraction problems. With bolt actions neck sizing will give you better accuracy as long as you are using the round in the same rifle that originally fired it as it fire forms the brass making it perfect for that chamber.

X2-reflects my 30 + years of reloading experience perfectly-PS-I have found that same applies to pumps as well-
