WHY? Because we (STILL) CAN! That’s why!! :cool:

And now a teaser video from the 2017 Clinic in Milo , AB

Where

EESA Gun Club.....

Visit their cool website at : www.eesa.ca

Physical Address
9586 Springfield Road
Aylmer, ON N5H 2R8

When

26-27 October 2019
Saturday / Sunday

Cost

$ 110 for both days (go and find any instruction for that price point) ha ha ha ha
I'm only taking 28 shooters, first come, first served(changed to have more shooters...No Worries!!)
SO... Before you EMT / pay me, send me a PM to confirm that we do in fact have space of you.... :p

CQB Competition (like in the ORA - Ontario Rifle Association) :

* Snap shooting, rapid fire shooting, modified prone shooting
* Advance and fire shooting
* rapid magazine changes (since we don't use hi-cap mags in Canada)
* gear selection, gear manipulation, gear evolution (I'm gonna surprise ya big time...)
* What works in close and what belongs in the video games
* What works for you and what does not work for you
* Why you do up all your pouches and zippers especially before using the PortaPotty

CQB Gear to Bring:

Depending upon the focus of the type of CQB clinic (we are doing restricted, but you are welcome to shoot your NR)

* Reliable , dependable, and tested RESTRICTED rifle & pistol

* Reliable, dependable NON-RESTRICTED rifle semi-auto loader: M1 Garand, Lee-Enfield, M14, M1A, Mini-14, etc (IF you want to shoot NR)
* Current Home club ATT or Short term ATT for guests, arranged by club host (my Pointman)
* Optics (Aimpoint, EOTech, BUIS, iron sights, ACOG, ELCAN, 1x or 2x or 3x or 4x magnification scope)
* Holster: Serra is fine, single/double/triple retention is fine, ZERO retention holsters suck
* Black Badge Qualification IS NOT needed. We don’t holster hot.... Safer that way...
* Bring over 400 Rounds of carbine ammo (distances inside 50m), bring the cheeep stuff
* Bring 100 rounds of pistol ammo (many of you experts KNOW to DOUBLE this round count) :eek:
* Ensure you have reliable iron sights (USGI for you M14 lovers, I hope) or reliable/tested/proven optics
* Your vest or webbing must hold the 5 x 5/20 or the 5 x 5/30 magazines you will need, depends on your platform.
* Your vest should have pouches for 2 pistol magazines (restricted CQB clinic)
* Your vest or webbing should be reliable (read: avoid the mall ninja, airsoft renditions) so buy quality
* Single Point sling (Vickers, BFGear, Magpul MS3 MS4)
* Bring extra ammo whenever in doubt (better yet double my suggested round count)
* a bottle of lube (CLP, oil, grease, KY Jelly)
* 2 or 3 pens/pencils
* small rag
* ear protection (electronic means are recommended)
* Ballistic glasses are mandatory
* an open mind
* a sense of humour
* Read about some gear preparation ideas here:

Why not a week afterwards

It’s a spot that’s open during the EESA Club Calendar.... and... it’s hunting season; first week of November (rifle season)
And I happen to have that weekend free. My wife is gonna clobber me... I deserve it, too! Ha ha ha ha ha

Cridler and JOSV650S: I got your payments. Big thanks. Bring on any questions!

Cheers, Barney

I would need to double check for 50bmg (I would like to see this for CQB but it is an unlikely choice) but no restrictions on caliber.

We aren't shooting steel so bring whatever cheap surplus steel ammo you want.

An sks and tt33 would make a really cheap combo if you are good with stripper clips.!

Handguns are carried with an empty chamber, keeps in line with the CQB rulebook and makes it really simple for everyone to be safe.

Thanks.

I was just wondering; since it looks like there's a lot of rolling around on the ground with a holstered handgun.

Carrying with an empty chamber is a good idea.

Folks,

Always support the kind businesses that have our backs! Select Shooting Supplies has stepped forward with a pile of targets for your / our shooting fun that weekend. Warmest Thanks!

GlenF: Got your EMT. Bring on the questions! Any day building community on the range is always a great day. I live for these days.

Cheers, Barney

How many spots are left? Thanks

Many spaces left. Remember that we are almost at the end of the CQB season, with maybe one match left in Base
Borden so let’s use this chance at EESA to make it happen. It’s not too often I get amazingly easy green lights, I’m blessed up in Garrison Petawawa, they spoil me. So now that we have a green light in S. Ontario, I’m super pleased to see this through. :eek:

Cheers, Barney

I am interested in attending. Just a few questions.

How many magazines would I need? Is it 5 rifle and 2 pistol? Or is that the extras you need, plus the ones in the gun?
Do I need a single point sling? I just have basic strap slings.
Is there a certain type of holster needed and do I need to have holster qualification?

Sorry if these questions are answered somewhere already.

Thanks.
