Effects of adding a muzzlebrake on a rifle

I'm pretty sure about the POI shift after the installation of a muzzlebrake, but will I have to rework the powder charge of my cartridge?

I'm planning to install this muzzlebrake on my Savage 10TR Bull Barrel, already threaded.

I installed a clamp on muzzle break from Grizzly Gunworks for my Tikka T3 HB 223.there is no more muzzle jump but it is louder other than being loud I do not see any change.Good luck

The effects are that you will not make any new friends at the range

I added a Heathen to my DTA, only change was 0.4 mrad more elevation but drop charts stayed accurate.

The biggest effect is reduced recoil.

About the POI - it depends on how accurately the barrel was threaded as well as how accurately the brake was made... ideally the bore of the brake is under size allowing it to be bored for bullet clearance while indexed to the barrel.

RECOIL REDUCTION, added length and weight, does change the POI a bit; did I mention noise. On the heavy kickers they do improve your accuracy.

Have two custom machined and threaded to my .308 and .270. No noticeable POI shift but benefit being reduced felt recoil. Detriment, louder, not that I mind.
