On Sunday, July 23rd, Yvonne and Reg put on an awesome match in Eganville!

It was advertised as a fun match. But by all rights, it should have been an IPSC level 2 match. Since the calibre of stages and design (no 90 traps, no RO traps, freestyle, very good flow, no overlapping targets where you had to guess where one started and one ended, all partials had the proper black tape, plus stages followed all IPSC rules) were excellent! Some stages would have had no problem being in a level 3 match.

Yvonne and Reg two-handedly built, ran and tore down the stages - with a few from their club helping with build/tear down, plus a few RO's helping run the match.

Short competitors (like the 2 juniors) had no problem with a wall - cut-down to a fair height - but still functioned as a vision barrier for all.
Nor did any competitors have any problems with the rectangular shaped "windows" which were friendly for short or tall people.

If you missed this match, you missed an excellent one! And, should look out for the next one in Eganville...

It was truly an excellent match and as good if not better than many level IIs. Congratulations to Yvonne & Reg & hard working helpers and to the Club for hosting it!

One of the nicest touches was driving through the village of Douglas and seeing an IPSC target with an arrow indicating which way to turn. Try doing that in Ottawa!

An excellent match put on by Reg, Yvonne and the great people of the Eganville club. I had a great time at the match, they had great stages and Reg has made his own poppers and plates...what a quality job.

I had to leave early due to heading to Borden on course so does anyone have the match results?
