I don't usually take a dump on EE adds, but uhh I couldn't let this one slide lol.
I don't think I've ever in my life seen anything like this...I don't think I've ever seen welding this bad on anything, truck, bicycle, steel target to shoot up, wheh, I don't know what else to say.
I don't even weld, but I'm pretty sure I could learn it, and teach my 11 year old how to do a better job the same day I learned it lol.
Just wheh...$750...

But it's custom, rare and one of a kind! He should ask $1200 😂
It definitely is custom rare and one of a kind for sure lol.
Personally, if i did that to a gun...first, I would not ask money for it, especially more then retail ones not destroyed by abysmal welding.
Second, I wouldn't even give it away with that kind of unspeakable welding work lol.
I would just melt it, chop it up into 2 inch pieces, bury it 20ft deep in concrete, anything to disassociate myself from it and never ever even speak of it again lol.

Lol. I saw the same ad earlier and couldn’t believe what I was looking at. It’s gotta be bait.

Sadly the gun is also an uncommon factory code.

My guess as a non-welder is that the welder didn't allow for the heat treated receiver and royally messed up the first "pass". The welding went to crap after that. (I do know that a chinese sks receiver will defeat a high speed drill bit, you will need cobalt or tungsten to drill a hole before tapping mount holes for side mounted accessories.) I think pre-heating the receiver would have been the wiser path. But again, I don't weld, so experts will chime in shortly...

In any case, that welding put alot of heat into the receiver and the steel is now annealed, so I personally wouldn't want to shoot this gun. Plus there will be jeers.

In all honesty, where could you find another one just like this?
This uniqueness makes it super rare, hence the price.

Put in in an auction and the bidders will get crazy at that price.
Could fetch $2000 easy in an auction.

As a non welder with a skill level between sticking the rod constantly, or using the wrong setting and burning up a rod like pushing a candle into the sun, I feel even I could do better than what I'm seeing. That's gross!

Sadly, not only was that not the case, but i had to pay over $200 for the job.

The guy that did the work tried some other ways before, but it kept failing to hold zero. I got tired of trying over and over again and just told him to weld it and make sure it holds zero.
