Anyone know of a lasting fix for this problem. Didn't realize that there was a problem with this product until I went hunting..spent 10 minutes trying to extract the spent cartridge.:jerkit:

"...you need to pull it out..." You shouldn't. The extractor is also the ejector. The extractor should come back with enough force to eject the empty when the action is opened. Just like a single shot shotgun.

My friend had one in 22 Horent he had to put a stiffer spring in it not sure how he did it. He said it worked stock if you cleaned the chamber every few rounds but not fun to do when out shooting.

when you say stuck --is the case head flush with the chamber or does the base of the shell lift out somewhat.

As I understand it - not all have ejectors, many are only extractors that lift partially.

Are these handloads? these are very sensitive to loadings and things like primer depth
If the primer is a bit proud, it wont close properly

try carrying a 20 cal cleaning rod until you figure out if its the loads or a mechanical issue

OK, I can solve this for you and even tailor it to your specific geographical location.

First, take the rifle down to the Forks, preferrably at night.

Face the widest part of the river.

Take it by the barrel and swing it as hard as you can.

Release the rifle ensuring that it flies as far into the middle of the river as possible.

Call the police and tell them you dropped your rifle in the river.

Go to the local gun store and buy a decent bolt rifle.

Some have exjectors and some have extractors, depends on year made.I polished my chamder with Flitz or some rubbing compound, can't remember. Since doing that I only hade a couple stick and they had a different tipe crimp on the neck( found on police range, full auto?.) I also carry a sort pice of 22 cal. brass rod to drop down muzzle as a back up. Check out this site there is a section on NFA handy rifles graybeard outdors.com

My buddy had the same problem: stuck cases.

We tried a few tricks, like lubing the cases before hand, but in the end the rifle got tossed. Any rifle that doesn't eject has a BAD character flaw.
