I have a Cooey 30-06.When i fire the rifle I have to move the bolt 2 or 3 times before it will eject the shell. This only happens when I fire the gun.If the bullet hasn't been fired it will eject on the first attempt everytime.I had the ejection mechanism replaced but I still have the same problem,Absolutely no improvement.I also switched to a different bullet thinking it might be the ammo.Any ideas?

I'm not sure. What would be an indication that it's weak?why would it only be an issue when i fire and not all the time?

Fired cases stick in the chamber a bit because they expand and take a bit more to pull out. With a new extractor and spring, I'd double check that the right extractor was put in. Also, I'm guessing if you already had a new extractor and spring put in, it's because it was already not pulling out the shells. I'd guess the chamber is rusty and the case is really sticking in there.

My first thought was gummy or rusty chamber for you to have extraction problems. Drillbit nailed it. Clean the chamber with light oil and 0000 steel wool on a cleaning jag.
