I actually have one of these. It is a pretty little thing -- looks like the "cowboy toy" your mom wouldn't let you have at Woolworth's when you were six. I use it to teach my kids with.
I just loined a while ago so hadn't seen this post when you put it up -- years ago now. If you are still interested let me know what you need.

I have one. They are a great little gun! Super light and easy to swing. I took it out this past Dec. for a Pheasant farm hunt with my dog. I think my wife will end up using it when we head out for Chukar/Quail with the dog.

Don't you have the broken spring in the gun to use for a template? What about the good spring on the other side (or are they both broken and missing)?

These were low grade (well built) hunting guns made by Victor Sarasqueta, one of the premier gun makers in Spain before they went bankrupt in the early 80's.
FYI, "El Faisan" translates to "the pheasant". Elgoibar is a gun making town in the Basque region of Spain, the other main town being Eibar.
Most Spanish guns are faithful copies of other (mainly English) designs. A good shotgunsmith should be able to sort that out fairly easily.

Hi there, I have an Elgoibar, (27.5" barrels, 3" chamber and the black laquor stock.) Got it as a Xmas gift around 1984. It came used but was in good shape. I have used it faithfully for birds for the last 20 odd years. Two years ago the spring that keeps the gun from folding in half broke off, so now every time I break it open to load it, the gun wants to fold in half. I need to get that fixed, but aside from that I love that old shotgun. A great gun for my sons to start on. I know they were inexpensive shotguns, but I still really like mine! Glad to hear there are some other guys out there who own them.

The springs were very common to break, I had one and the firing pins used to punch right through the primers and spit flame back at my face.
The spring itself needs to be seen, I could try and describe it but have no measurements to supply, if you do have the other side, copy it.

Is that the one that folds back on itself making a small pckage?
A friend of mine had a black bear knock his tent down and run over him and his family one time.
Went and go this PAL and bought a shotgun for "protection."
I went over there to play music one day (we have a little blues band) and I said 'Oh, I heard you got a shotgun, can I have a look?" and he brought out his little double-barreled 410.
"Oh," I said. "Um ......," well you know the rest. Don't want to hijack this thread and turn it into another bear defense thread.
Sweet little shotgun for its purpose though.
