Was wondering if anyone has an elcan clone with crappy glass that they aren't using so I could scoop the mount off it?
I bought one off an individual/dealer on here with a good trader rating. Took it to the range and the first time I tried to turn the windage screw it snapped.
I have been in a back and forth coversation with this individual to get a new screw or a replacement sight for 3 months now and have heard excuses from "canada post will sort it out" to "my supplier dissapeared"....to finally he doesn't reply to my PMs anymore. I'd leave negative feedback but after looking at the negatives he gets he just returns the favor and I would prefer not to get negative just cause he feels I should wait more than 3 months to get a working sight to take to the range at least once.
If anyone has one of these units that the glass is toast but the mount is fine I wouldn't mind talkin at ya.

Just leave him a negative feedback. People will read your negative feedback and know what it is and what it means.

I had a member try to rip me off and left him negative feedback and got a stupid one in return. It hasn't effected anyone doing business with me yet.
 
Left him negative feedback....sure enuf he leaves me retalatory feedback... boy he sure showed me huh?
I contacted him after I took the scope to the range to ask him if he could get me a replacement windage screw to replace the one that snapped....he says send pictures....so I do....he says send better pictures....so I do....he says send emt info.....so I do....he says....send shipping and tracking info....so I do......he say Canada Post will reimburse him and he'll send new scope....month passes.....he says his supplier dissapeared....then he ignores 4 PMs asking what the status is.. I post " hey guys, got a problem" he reads it but nothin.....so after 3 months of waiting for a screw to replace a broken one I have enuf and leave him negative feedback.....he proceeds to do the same and has the nerve to imply that I broke it myself......every message was saved if anyone is interested in viewing them. Then he has the nerve to say that he is one of the best NC star dealers out there.....well my clone wasn't NC star but I have a differing opinion on what constitutes a good dealer. Oh yea...was reminded by another member that the screw broke while using a dime....man am I strong to break a screw break with a dime
All over a broken windage screw...we need a shake your head icon.

I will say the member has more than a few negative feedback and always has left a retaliatory negative in return! Good on your for standing up!
 
Very interesting and as you say the Retaliatory feed back is pretty lame.
Guess he showed you didn't he !
I was looking at something they had the other day, so I wont be conducting any business any time soon with that guy.
Got pics of the damaged goods ?

You mean Killercane, I see he has a few negatives. The vast majority are good ratings. I guess you take your chances.

The mount is the biggest problem with the Elcan. The real ones are crap, I wouldn't expect a clone to any better.
