Elcan Lifetime Warranty - is it transferrable?

I have been searching all over hell trying to find the answer, and having no luck so far.

Can anyone say for 100 per cent sure beyond a shadow of any doubt if Elcan lifetime warranty is only for the initial purchaser or if lifetime means lifetime no matter how many times it changes hands?

The moral of your story is that whomever sold you your elcan told you that it had TRANSFERRABLE lifetime warranty? Sorry, its probably me but your responses are not clear to me. Again, likely me.

FYI Elcan warranty is 3 years from original date of purchased from originating dealer. Receipts etc not needed as it is tracked by serial number.

So only 3 years not lifetime on manufacturers defects only but transferable for those 3 years.
