Elcan SpecterDR or ACOG??

I'd like to find something a bit more egronomic for my 16" AR,. the M145 on it now is bulky,,,,would the SpecterDR or the ACOG be a good choice?Something a bit lighter and less bulky would be better...

Is bulk and weight your only requirement? An ACOG would be less bulky and lighter, but it can't do things that the SpecterDR can. At least it's more rugged.

In my experience the ACOG is the way to go. And when FPembleton refers to things the ACOG cant do I assume he means switch from 1x-4x power. With the extra money you would save on an ACOG over a DR, you could buy a doctor optic or aimpoint micro and co-mount it for CQB.

No,I suppose bulk and weight are not my only requirement,but that's the starting points I decided on.to start...sounds like both the DR and the ACOG would be fine...but the DR is heavier?..
