Any Elcan Guru's who know the story behind this little sight? I've had one for several years and generally thought the glass was pretty decent. Did this sight win any military contracts for Elcan? Never found much information on it and seems to have been long discontinued.

Always wondered what the story was behind this model as Elcan always seem to be driven my military sales over civilian.
 
Pretty sure it's the only Elcan optic that never got a mil contract, haha. Had one years ago (the one with the externally adjustable turrets instead of the BDC, "B" model I think?) and it was a great lil optic. Tough and had clear glass.
 
Anyone know the best way to mount an RDS to this? It has the little rubber bumpers with pic rails, but I don't know if that's adequate enough for mounting a micro red dot. Otherwise, this is one of the most overlooked optics out there. I love it.

At 3 power and the illuminated reticle I never thought of needing a micro red on it. But I'd be inclined to remove the rubber rail and add a short metal picatinny on top.
