Hi Guys, Does anyone know where to pick up one of these kits? They are good for taking out lead and copper and work by running an electical current through a rod down the bore surrounded in a special solution.

WSS sells them. Seems more a of a gimmick to me. Try some Sweets on a good old fashioned patch for copper. Or Wipe-Out foaming bore cleaner.
 
I have used one on several badly fouled barrels. It took the lead from the barrel & put it on the rod. I like them.

However, for normal fouling the solvents should be enough.
 
Very good for Mil-Surp barrels with heavy and difficult to remove cupro-nickel jacket fouling. Not at all a gimmick.

You can easily build one yourself - check out surplusrifle.com for lots of info
 
I built my own for using on really tough cleaning jobs - usually friends rifles. It is very easy to do and a fraction of the cost of the kit. Just Google it and you'll find all kinds of info.
 
I started to build one a while back, but like many of my projects, this one never got finished....
Maybe this thread is the ass-kick i need!
