Electronic callers

I contacted Redfrog before about foxpro callers.the basic 8 sound model with no remote was $245.00 shipped I think. he can order in other models but looking at their website the price takes quite a jump if you really want a remote.

Has it arrived yet?....I am waiting for the success reports WITH pitures!!:D

Yes it is here! I got it on Thursday, went out on friday and called in 3 dogs in 2 stands! The first one came running in from 150 yards right to the caller, it got within 10 feet of the call and knew something wasnt right and spun back, thats when I shot him with my 204!, Second stand, called in a double, took my first male yote :D It came from behind me, stopped 10 yards away and looked at me  I didnt move and it started to trott off in the field, so I took a shot at him and missed :( now he was running flat out away from me, so I chambered another round and squeezed it off managed to connect!:) . I could not coax the other dog out thought. It was in the bush howling/barking at me  Heres the pic of the male I got.

Gatehouse, did you get the FX3 too? You will not be dissapointed they are one heck of a caller!

Yes, i did..

My first real stab at serious coyote hunting, usually I just nail them as targets of opportunity..

Todbartell, I was useing 32grn V-maxs with 27grns of H-335. out of all the yotes I have shot I havent had one exit, and they have been bang flops. There has also been no hide damage, the longest shot so far has been only 200 yards thought. :)

wow that sounds good, I really like the idea of the 204 Ruger. when I was shopping for a small caliber rifle 2 years ago, I was deciding between the 221 Fireball and the 223. I chose the 223.

a few months later and the 204 Ruger was announced. if it was available when I ordered my 223, I think I would of chose the 204. Just for the cool factor of loading a new cartridge mainly. ;)

PS I love my 223 :D

Good work on the yotes, and keep the FX3 results coming!

You guys need to get into hand calls, way more exciting and challenging ;)
The calls that are recorded on those units are all done with hand calls to my knowledge.
I called in more dogs and had them come in so close with hand calls it was unbelievable. Nothing beats blowing on the hand call and turning your head to see a pair of coyotes staring at you 5 yards away

Cheers!!

Sure hand calls are great too, but the electronic calls get the sound away from you, which does increase your odds to take the shot. I have used hand calls in the past, and always get them staring right at me when they come in.

Ive never used a Electronic call

today I called in my fifth coyote in my life, all with mouth blown calls

that being said, they will collect dust once my FX3 arrives :)
