I was in the same situation as you a few years ago. I did some research and at the time, the RCBS Chargemaster combo was the one to get. Several years later now, I'm still very happy with it. I find it to be accurate and only ever have a couple over weight charges while using stick powders which are easy to deal with as the display shows the current weight. I did the McDonald's straw fix and the amount of "overs" got better than before.
Overall if I had to do it again, would not hesitate to go the same route.
whats the mcdonalds straw trick?
Put a short piece of straw in the end of the discharge pipe (McD's is the best fit). The powder will dispense more smoothly out of the straw than out of the ribbed pipe.
k gotcha, anyone no if the volume can be turned off on these? i do my reloading after work when the family's asleep & everyones a very light sleeper lol
