Electronic Scales-Who Knows Them?

I am considering the purchase of an electronic scale, and I see that Lyman, RCBS, Dillon and Hornady all put one out for about $150.00 (give or take). Does anyone have any experience using any of these or know the pros and cons of one against the other? Thanks.

I use the Dillon one and have for several years, after retiring my old balance style measure. I like it, it is accurate and the numbers are easy to read, it balances quickly. I have had no problems so far with it and have been happy enough to recommend it. I have no experience with the other products, although they are all probably just as good, they come from good names that all stand by their products.

I like Dillon's no BS warranty, keeps me happy that I have the company stand by their products if anything ever happens, even if its my fault.

See if you can find a store that has most on display to play with them to help narrow your search further, after hearing what the other nutz have to say.

I have the RCBS 1500 and it's awesome

I'm new to reloading and bought a Dillon D Terminator.
I use it with the ac adaptor supplied.
It is fast, easy to read and seems quite accurate to me.
I find that when I turn it on,it's better to let it warm up first
for about 5 to 10 minutes.
Maybe because it's in a cold basement.
I'll find that before it warms up it will show, say 4.1 grains rather than the 4gr.I am loading.
Given a short warm up period it is then bang on for the rest of the reloading session.
I haven,t tried any of the others, but I know that Dillon has excellent customer service and I would buy their product knowing that if I had a problem,it would be quickly rectified.

I bought a RCBS Chargemaster 1500. Thought it was awsome,so I added the powder dispencer to it after. I dont think I could ever go back to a balance beam again, just so much nicer to use.....Ken

Pact make good scales as well.
Make sure what ever you purhase (yes worth th ewhile I love them) that it wts up to 800 or 1000 grains or close to it, comes in handy when wt mag loads, or steel shotgun loads.

amen, the Chargemaster was a hell of an investment!:D

Ordered one!

Well thanks all for the input. I just placed an order for an RCBS Rangemaster 750. It should meet my needs nicely, as I just want to use it for quick verification of powder charges, weighing bullets and brass, and making sure none of my loads come up a powder charge too light, or too heavy:) . Thanks again.
Cheers!
