I am having a hard time with elevation

Am reloading in .223 and have a decent (not great ) load for the 69 grain serria's
in Kamloops we got an excellent 500 M and I know how many clicks to get from 100 M to 500 M for this load

I have been trying other bullets a Hornadt 60 grain soft point and a 75 grain BTHP

At 100 M testing I am finding loads that are nice and I transfer up too 500 M and both fall short of elevation... meaning same point of impact at 100 M and raise amount the serrias and bullets impacting roughly 4 feet lower

I do not have a chrony to see how fast these are going but the other night i clocked 10 or so of the serrias and they were running 3010 to 3095 big discrepancy in speed that is why i do not like them i guess

I hope i have enough information to ask question

rifle is a 1 in 9 twist

I am finding my come ups by actuall.

Everything starts at the same elevation for 100 M relative to scope.

I have shot the 69 in matches and know how for up to go for 500 M
I shoot and am hitting where i am pointing it ( or at least a close enough to where i point it)
I load cheap winchester white box and hitting left but roughly same elevation
I load factory hornady TAP ammo and hits approx same elevation
I load what are my nice grouping loads from 100 M testing and are hitting approx 4 feet lower that point of aim

Sounds to me that you have to aim 4 feet higher; add some more powder or use a bullet with a better BC.

Don't argue with the rifle, scope or ammo. It means what it says.

If it was me, i would be using a 75gr HPBT match bullet to get a decent BC.

The 75 BTHP is what i am trying to use so it is just a push it out faster thing???

And yes I do beleive N/M
I need a new gun anyways
