Can anyone find a bc on this. I have had no luck. I guesstimate the velocity out of my 455 precision trainer to be 1175 to 1200 but my 200 seems just a bit off

Eley says that Eley Force has a muzzle velocity of 1250 fps. Eley Force has a round nose lead bullet weighing 40 grains. Such a bullet at 1250 fps should have a BC (ballistic coefficient) of about .138 to 140. Actual MV may vary from rifle to rifle.

For what it's worth, the Ballistic AE app by Brian Litz has a huge selection of rimfire ammo data. According to the app, Brian lists the BC of the Eley Force at 0.170 G1 for the 42 grain bullet at 1250 fps.

The 42 grain bullet is not on my Sierra Infinity but their HV hunting rounds (RN and HP) are listed at .193.
Sierra is showing a velocity of 1312 fps.

Their target grades of ammo are .148 and the Match ammo is at .148.

Might have to try a box if Cabela's have it.

Going back some time to testing my 455's with CCI MiniMags.
HP published velocity was 1260 and Chrony was averaging 1300.
RN published at 1235 but was averaging 1200.

Check out the Eley Lot Analyzer. Enter the lot # and it will tell you the tested velocity and a bunch of other info including the BC of the bullet. Having said that, I’m not sure if all the Eley ammo is in the Lot Analyzer system.

If anyone wants to know what the MV of a particular ammo is, he would have to chrony it, while noting that the MV recorded is for that particular barrel. The MV of the same ammo will vary from rifle to rifle because of factors such as barrel length, bore diameter (they're not all exactly the same, from manufacturer to manufacturer, model to model, even, sometimes between rifles of the same model), bore smoothness, and rifling condition. Of course the MV published by the ammo maker, whether it is stamped on the box or published in literature or online, varies within a given box. It's worth noting that these are averages, not the MV of any given round exiting any given bore.

Eley Force is a relatively new .22LR ammo, coming out around 2015, perhaps available only later in Canada. It is, as noted above and according to Eley, designed for semi-automatic competitive (whatever that means) rifles. With the round nose bullet, it is supposed to feed better than the EPS bullet with its flat nose profile.

Yeah th chronograph is in the future right now, and I dont usually worry to much about the ballistic apps just giving it a try. I usually make my own data with known distances but the cprs has me hooked on rimfire for now. Living in ontario kind of limits my distances and the 6.5 creedmoor is kind of just collecting dust in my safe. With the rimfire it gets challenging at the limits I have for distance.

What I was trying is to zero at 50 and have a proper bc and correct velocity with simple adjustments on the app. Should get me very close as long as things are lining up

The force was very accurate out to 200, had about 1.5 to 2.5 inch 10 shot groups, gusty tail wind was showing some vertical grouping

Run the lot# through the Eley Lot Analyzer. It will tell you the average velocity from 4 different barrels from that actual batch of ammo, and it has the correct BC. I know the velocity might not be exactly the same as your barrel, but it should be close. Just google “Eley Lot Analyzer” and enter your lot#. It’s thst easy.

Thought some might like to know..

I chrony’d Eley Force (among several other 22LR rounds) using my Magnetospeed V3:

Sako Quad Custom (21” Lilja barrel):
* Average = 1179 fps
- Max = 1194 fps
- Min = 1164 fps
- ES = 30 fps
- SD = 10.5 fps

Kidd Supergrade (16.5” bull barrel):
* Average = 1209 fps
- Max = 1223 fps
- Min = 1189 fps
- ES = 34 fps
- SD = 11.8 fps
