Just came into a large quantity of Eley 12ga 2 3/4 new, primed hulls. Of course no data exists anywhere that I can find.

Seller told me to use federal load data. Can anybody corroborate his info or point me in the right direction...the deal was so good I couldn't pass it up so now I have a garbage bag full of hulls and no load data...

Package deal came with about 3500 Winchester WAA12SL wads, if that helps narrow it down some...

Thanks for any help you can offer...

Old Eley shells I had were identical to the Cheddite hulls. Cheddite makes the common European hulls with the stars on the base. They are loaded by several different European ammunition companies, since few European companies make their own hulls. Cheddite not only make the "star" hulls but also make some hulls exactly the same with the client's name brand stamped on the base. My Eley hulls from perhaps 20 years ago were Cheddites with a Eley head stamp. I suggest you find a known source of Cheddite hulls, ( like the Canadian loaded Challengers ) section one of each lengthwise with a hacksaw, and look closely at the internal construction and dimensions. If they match exactly, they are Cheddites and data is very common.
