I am in the process of looking for a new scope. I compared the Bushnell 3200 and 4200 with the Leupold VXII and VXIII. I was sure impressed with both Bushnells.
BUT, I have heard way too many stories of guys that have problems with the service for Bushnell scopes. They will do everything in their power to prove that any problem is not MANUFACTUER DEFECT. Even if you ding your scope and it still works and then later you have a problem, Bushnell will not cover it.
Do a search on this site for Leupold. I am fairly confident that you will find the overwhelming majority of posts will praise their service. It does not matter what the problem with your Leupold scope is, they will fix it. Also, the warranty stays with the scope, not the buyer. I don't know of another company that offers that!
I really value great service. I liked the Bushnell product (only slightly better IMHO than the Leupold, but the Leupold will suit me fine) but I am super scared of having any warranty work done.
