Kind of a long story. Who has a Bushnell elite 4500 and your experince with it as they are fairly new?
I had an old Bausch and Lomb that i sent in for repair. I bought the scope in here and it would get blurry every time you pulled the trigger. So I sent it in to be repaired. They could not repair it so they sent me the "equivilent " 2.5-10X40 elite 4500. I had it for a while and though on the weekend I would remove a different scope I had on th erifle and install the 4500.
I installed it (yes it was leveled and rings torqued to spec), then I went to sight it in. I have never seen a scope that erratic when trying to adjust it. Example first shot was long adjusted it up 4 inches and it goes 12 inches high. Thought what ever, moved it 8 clicks right and 8 down, then it moved 9 inches down and 6 inches right. I tried on more time this time 6 clicks up and 6 left. That time it moved way high and way left. Getting frustrated I shot 2 more without adjusting it to see what was going on, and it shot how it aways does just under an inch.
And before anyone says anything its not the operator LOL.Rings and mounts are all fine, the gun was shot quite a bit with these rings mounts and a differnent scope . I shoot lots and this gun shoots quite well its and sako in 264. All the scopes I have dial where you want them to. This one don't
So what's everyones experience with these? I know that they are not a very expensive scope. But I was expecting a little better quality out of it.
Or if someone has a nice Baush and Lomb 2.5-10 X 40 to trade I would trade.
The only other Bushnell I have is a 6500 that I have on a 257 WBY and it dials ok.
I will say that Bushnell was great in replacing an old scope with a new one for free.
