Looking for opinions on any of these models from .270win users. 130gr-140gr loads for both Whitetail & Moose. Thinking minimum 3-9x40mm, but something more along the lines of maybe a 3.5-10x50mm or 4-16x44mm.

Cheers

I have a VX- III 3.5-10x50 on my 30-06 and absolutely love it. But if you want to save a little money there is nothing wrong with a 3-9x40 and the lower magnification is great especially if you shoot animals at closer ranges.

I would suggest that you try and look through each one, they are all good choices but you may find that your eyes will prefer one brand/model more than the others. Another to be aware of is the eye relief provided by each one, if it is too short for you, then you'll need to use extension rings or a 'pictanny' style base to allow you to get the scope mounted in the correct position. I have a Viper on my Savage 10 and love it. I also have a Burris Signature on my Browning A-Bolt II in 325 WSM and am completely happy with it too!

ShrtRnd you should check out Minox they are in my opinion the best glass for your dollar, I recently put a Minox 4-20x50mm on my 300wsm its a lil more scope than I need but its beautiful, it has exceptional eye relief, very good german glass for a very good price easily 300-400$ cheaper than leupys, choose wisely young jedi, lol

I would be looking to find an original Conquest at clearout pricing. Bashaw Sports has some listed, as do a few other dealers. If your budget is a little smaller, I would go with the Monarch.

I'm a Leupold fan. A VX3 3.5-10x40 or 4.5-14x40 would be a great scope. The VX2 models in 3-9x40 or 4-12x40AO are great too. I have a couple VX3's with the BC reticle and a VX2 4-12x40 with the LRD duplex reticles. Love them. IMHO, you don't need a 50mm OBJ.
