So I'm a week in to my first Elk Hunt..... I thought I had a pretty good handle on where they could be around here. I've been scouting and looking everywhere north of Knight Ranch and then east and west where I can get permission.

If you've hunted elk around 108, i'm not looking for your secret hole, but perhaps I could get a little guidance on where I could be looking this late in the season.
For example I've been scouting south of Devils Coulee but the late season bird hunters may have something to do with scarcity.

If I need to get on Knight / Deseret Ranch let me know and I'll work that one out but its costly.

TIA

Thanks BBobie ... do you mean too far north or for sure too far south? I can't imagine that I'm too far south at Devils Coulee. Should I be looking closer to Milk River than Warner?

Thanks again.

ya if you have a spotting scope set up some place on a high spot and glass the river and across to the night ranch, they aren't moving much until some finds them and bumps them out again ,last year a good friend hunted that area for 3 straight days before they spotted the herd in the milk river
just keep moving along and glassing
its a big area ,from the knight ranch east to milk river
Good Luck
Not sure how long your season is but on Wensday the deer season opens ,Im thinking the deer hunters will bump them out of their hiding spot

Thanks again.... I have until Nov 16th. I also have both species antlerless in 108 so I'll be out looking again starting tomorrow. With any luck maybe we'll see them get pushed out and get them moving.
This warm weather just hasn't helped much either.
