ELR event (Extreme Long Range)
The ‘’Ligue de tir longue distance Québec’’ invite you to this friendly competition that will be held at Valcartier CFB (range R15) on June 3rd, 2017. The event will be scheduled over 1 day and is sanctioned by the FTC.
• A minimum of 20 rounds will be needed during the course of fire;
• Steel targets will be engaged at about 1000, 1400, 1700 and 2080 meters. Target size are roughly 1.5 MOA;
• Each shooter can be teamed up with a spotter (spotting scope and range finder will be available at the range). If you don’t have a partner to spot your shots, don’t worry, we will team you up with one in the morning;
• All shooting will be done in the prone position (no barricade shooting);
• Time limit per target: 5 minutes to shoot 5 rounds;
• No caliber or weight limits for the rifle;
• At the end of the event, the range will be available for the participant for practice. Bring your ammo if you would like to take advantage of this.

The event is open to a MAXIMUM of 20 shooters. Registration will close on Mai 30th
Cost is 40$, payable in the morning of the event. The fee covers the event and lunch (payable by cash – please bring the exact change).

07H00 : Arrival at the range
07H15 : Security briefing, match information and team pairing
07H45 : Start of the event
12H00 : End of the event
12H15 : Range available for practice shooting
14h00 : Results and awards
14H30 : End of the day (we will require your assistance to close down the range)
Additional information
• Every rifle need to be transported according to laws;
• There will be time available before the event to zero your scope (at 100m);
• At the CFB Valcartier gate, announce that you are coming for this event. Drive to the Range Control, register your name and vehicle over there. Expect to drive for about 20 minutes from the gate to the range;
• The event will take place even if we have inclement weather. Prepare in consequence, bring your chairs.
Note : Since we are using a military range, the event could be canceled at any time at the army’s request.
