I know absolutely nothing about airguns, but my Dad has come into possession of one of these: http://www.muzzle.de/N3/Druckluft/EM-GE_LP_3/em-ge_lp_3.html#LP3
He wants to get it working if possible. Does anyone know if there is any such thing as a place to get parts for this thing? From what he says, it sounds like the seals in are done for, at the very least.

Thanks

According to the Blue Book of Airuns, Tenth Edition, EM-GE was a trademark for Moritz & Gerstenberger from Germany that was re-established after the war as Gerstenberger & Eberwein in approximately 1950. The company "disappeared" around 1997. The LP 3 air pistol was manufactured between 1957 and 1975. If it has a leather piston seal, which is quite possible given the date of manufacture, it is possible to make one. For making a leather seal, see http://www.pyramydair.com/blog/2007/12/how-to-make-a-leather-piston-seal/ or http://www.network54.com/Forum/6704.../How+to+make+replacement+leather+piston+seals

Thanks very much guys. My dad and I both suspected it might have a leather seal.
Going to take it to pieces one weekend soon and have a look-see.
