Hey All,

I'm considering getting this product,

shopquestar.com/shopping65/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=10&cat=Glock

With a Glock 23, In the product description it states

"•It is mandatory that the pistol has the integrated accessory rail."

My question is, What is this accessory rail ? and how common are they?

Cheers

Its a rail underneath the barel frame. You can attach light ,lasers or whatever. It needs this rail for it to fit secure to the roni kit.

I got to use one of these just the other day and was very impressed with it. I surrendered my more or less brand new Glock 22 as the guinea pig. There are a couple of threads going on this already. No this does not extend your barrel length, it is only an exo skeleton but maaaan was it fun to shoot!

It takes all of about 45 seconds to put the thing together and off you go. We were burning through 15 round pistol mags like nothing. The accuracy and ability to shoot further more accurately increases obviously with the addition of the stock and forward vertical grip to help support the gun. When we pulled it apart not a mark on my slide.

Practical uses? Not many more than any short barrel carbine, but it was a blast to shoot and I will be buying one! If you want to play around a little bit in the SMG size part of the world and want to keep your ammo to one caliber this is the ticket!

As an afterthought....with a red dot, and flashlight on two of the four accessory rails, this would be perfect for a bail out bag

Thank you Fozy!

I did the "search" but alias did not find what I was looking for, If you have a link i'd appreciate it.

Cheers

Boombb here is a link to some good discussion on the Roni...

I have one and so far haven't taken it past 25m. The accuracy at 25m is far better than I can do with the pistol alone. I am taking it out this weekend to try it at 50 and 100m. The only thing I don't like about the Roni is you cannot add a longer barrel without modifying it. The KPOS and the Hera can take longer barrels. My biggest reason for buying the Roni is for 3-gun matches. It passes for the carbine. You can use ten rounds and reload very quick.

Here is a pic of mine...

Hey CBabes,

what model glock do you run with that?

I am using a G17. I don't know if they are still on sale but I got it $100 off for $399 at Questar. A lot of people make fun of the carbine conversions but I think they serve a purpose. Especially if you want to shoot 3-guns for less money. I reload 9mm so I am laughing all the way to the bank. :D

+1 It's a very good package....

If you have a glock or compatible pistol it's much cheaper than a dedicated 9mm carbine. for not that much loss in functionality.
I can shoot mine to 50m with good success.
